After the complete process of Application, Evaluation, Inspection of Financial and Academic Claim, Vidya Vritti  has been awarded to the following students. They shall be reffered to as 'CSB Scholars' henceforth.

   2. Sweta Jha    : For Science Stream

 

Previous Scholars:

   1. Abhishek Anand : for Science stream of Chinmaya after securing 91% in 10th board.
   2. Laxmi Narayan Mishra: for Commerce stream in Chinmaya after securing 83% in 10th board.

A copy of all the documents submitted, by them has been maintained and shall be made available on request by any CSB member.

With the help of our Faculty Coordinators, their books have also being arranged. The School has waived the Bus fee as a goodwill gesture to our initiative.

Q. How to apply for Vidya Vritti ?
A. You need to submit an application to either of our Faculty coordinators [Dr. Ashok Singh (Vice Principal), Mrs. Vyjayanthi Ravindarnath (Senior Teacher)] ; explaining why you should be considered for the scholarship. You should mention your parents' address, income and contact information in the application. You should be prepared to submit a proof of any claim made by you in this application.The application should be submitted within 20 days of the beginning of the session.

Q. How many Candidates will be selected in this program ?
A. This year CSB will support 2 students for the session June 2009 - June 2010.

Q. What are the deciding factors in the Selection for Vidya Vritti ?
A. Following shall be the selection criteria for applying to Vidya Vritti:

   1. The student's academic performance in the last 2 years.
   2. Only those students will be considered whose Parents' (Joint) Annual Income fall within 3 lakh per annum (subject to change).
   3. In the case of a close tie, their participation and performance in co-curricular activities will be valued.
   4. The feedback received from the Faculty Coordinators of CSB to further screen the students.
   5. Faculty Coordinators can innovate a test in order to screen students in case the number of eligible students is more than expected.

Q. Who is eligible to apply for Vidya Vritti ?
A. All New and Old students who have been in Chinmaya Vidyalaya from Class IX to XI are eligible to apply for the same, provided they fall in the restricted income slab. For this Year, Students of Standard XII are excluded from the scholarship. If you think that your case is special and worth consideration, feel free to apply for the same, mentioning your case.

Q. Will there be a screening out, before the students are considered based on the above Criteria ?
A. No, the applications received directly by the Faculty Coordinators will be evaluated based on the above set of Selection Factors.

Q. Will the Scholarship be continued when the selected student passes over to the next Standard ?
A. Based on the Recommendation of the Faculty Coordinator, if the student is found doing good in the half-yearly evaluations, Vidya Vritti will be continued for his/her next year  in School.

Q. Shall I get to know, as to why was somebody chosen for the scholarship, rather than me, in the selection process of Vidya Vritti?
A. Yes, but the Faculty Coordinators are not obliged to explain the decision to anybody. The process will be very transparent, still if you are doubtful, feel free to ask us by posting your message to one of the contacts on the website.
